I LOVE photographing events at the Exploratorium! Afterall, it’s where I started my career in event photography, so many moons ago.
On this particular evening, the Exploratorium hosted its annual gala, The Phenomena(l) Ball, a fundraiser in support of the museum’s field trip program. The field trip program employs a team of Facilitator Explainers, a diverse group of experienced educators who orient school groups and facilitate learning experiences throughout the museum. Additionally, the field trip program offers free admission to Title 1 school groups and all California K-12 public school teachers, as well as deeply discounted per ticket costs to all other field trippers. It’s a Phenomena(l) program!
The dream team of McCalls Catering and Got Light came together to create a colorful and playful design, that I was lucky enough to photograph for them.
